And the buyer got a free 30m2 Auckland office space. Sounds like a fantastic deal for a savvy Auckland investor. The Rotorua apartment was being sold at a reasonable market price with no extra cost built-in for the Auckland office space.
But there’s a catch. The office space is in Scene One, a beleaguered leasehold complex in Auckland’s CBD with a ground rent review due to be finalised shortly. Plus, Scene One needs remedial work, so that adds another unknown to the cost of the office space.
